BOSTON — Dassault Systèmes (DS), a world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, has awarded Columbia Construction a contract to provide preconstruction and construction management services for the build-out of their Americas corporate campus at 175-185 Wyman Street, in Waltham, MA.
Owned and operated by Hobbs Brook Management, Elkus Manfredi Architects is designing the interior office space at 175 Wyman Street. Jones Lang LaSalle is serving as project manager for the development of this first class office park, technology lab and data center space at 175 Wyman Street. AHA Consulting Engineers is the MEP Engineer for the interior office space, and Symmes Maini & McKee Associates is providing engineering design services for a data center and computer lab space.
Dassault Systèmes led an in-depth and strategic selection process to put together a world-class team. Each of these firms is highly-regarded in their discipline for their pioneering philosophy and their technical ability to design and construct highly functional and flexible workplaces.

The A/E/C team is pursuing a LEED Commercial Interiors (CI) certification (level to be determined; Silver or Gold) on behalf of Dassault Systèmes.
This strategic move serves to consolidate Dassault Systèmes' software brands and U.S. operations from multiple locations in the Greater Boston area. DS's Americas corporate headquarters will enable their 800 employees to come together into one community — one company. The interior space will be designed to emphasize and enhance the innovative, integrative and collaborative nature of DS's core business; To enable everyone — from researchers, to designers to consumers and their communities — to create, share and experience in 3D in order to realistically and accurately develop new products. Their software brands include CATIA, DELMIA, ENOVIA, SMULA, SOLIDWORKS, 3DVIA and EXALEAD.
Dassault Systèmes' vision is to create a world-class facility where their customers and partners can immerse themselves in a 3D view of their product's lifecycle, from creation to maintenance, including manufacturing and recycling. The space will support research and education, as well as
foster social conversations to ensure virtual product excellence is a prime driver of sustainable development.
Key elements of the project include an 8,000 sf Briefing Center; a state-of-the-art Data Center and Computer Labs; a Training Center for DS's employees and customers; and a dedicated outdoor campus quad for meetings and social interactions. A subsequent phase calls for the future plans of a Virtual Reality Lab.
