Diversified Project Management Hires Thomas E. Beebe as Project Executive
HARTFORD, Conn.-Diversified Project Management, a Newton, Mass and Hartford, Conn. construction-management, facilities and move-planning firm, announced that Thomas E. Beebe has joined the firm as Project Executive.
"Tom has over twenty-eight years experience in project management, lease and property management," said Chuck Pickney, President of Diversified Project Management Connecticut (DPMCT, Inc.). "His ability to analyze real estate markets, identify leasing alternatives, complete financial analyses, negotiate leases and manage construction for a number of projects is what Diversified needed. I welcome him to our team."
Tom has provided project management services for Aetna as well as technical services for the hospitality industry. During his tenure at Aetna, he managed and administered the leasing of field offices nationwide covering 2.3 million square feet with an annual rent of $56 million. He solely managed several projects at Aetna such as the company's 500,000 square foot office in Hartford, which included maintaining building operations, directing security and managing cleaning services. He was responsible for the accelerated relocation of 2,600 employees to the firm's new Middletown, Conn. facility during part of the building's construction and also coordinated Aetna's corporate parking and transportation programs worth $4.2 million.
His experience also incorporates the hotel industry. He helped coordinate and furnish the new Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa in Groton, Conn. which included installing fixtures, equipment and operating supplies for 285 guest rooms, 22,000 square feet of meeting space, laundry, commercial kitchen, spa, and restaurant. Tom is a former Connecticut auxiliary state trooper and police officer and has studied real estate financing and commercial real estate appraisal at the University of Connecticut.
